Over the past couple of days I’ve installed Windows 7 on 4 different machines. Everything seems to work pretty well. Of course, I would hope this is the case since Windows 7 is pretty much Vista SP 3 with a tweaked UI. Windows 7 is noticeably faster for me on computers that have 4 GB or less of memory. If you have a machine that falls in that category you probably want to seriously consider upgrading. The updated UAC is considerably less annoying than Vista’s. It’s too bad Microsoft decided not supporting to upgrades from different editions of Vista. Not being able to go from Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional seems a bit odd.
